SparkplugU has grown from the roots of Sparkplugging *:) - a free content network founded to educate, encourage and support self-employed business owners who work at home. Sparkplugging is written by 15 experienced authors on a wide range of topics around internet business and life balance for home office professionals. You might have heard of us by our old name, eMoms at Home. Founded by Wendy Piersall, she and her network have been featured on Entrepreneur.com, The Chicago Daily Herald, The Huffington Post, LifeHacker, Success Magazine, and Revenue Magazine. Wendy has also spoken at several prominent business/tech conferences including SXSWi, BlogWorldExpo, BlogHer, SOBCon, Small Business Marketing Unleashed, and Utah’s Blogging for Business Conference.

As Sparkplugging *:) has grown over the last two years, we’ve found a need in our community for solid, practical, trusted advice in a more structured format on how to start and run a business from home.

It’s been a long-time dream of our founder to offer affordable training for anyone who wants to learn how to be their own boss and control their own career. We don’t promise instant riches. We do promise to deliver quality lessons in an understandable format taught by expert faculty members. And our classes will help you make money from home and start or market your business. Each class we offer provides:

  • Course Outline - What you can expect to learn by the end of the class
  • Prerequisites - What you need to know before you take a particular class
  • Course Materials - Some classes will include course materials in the registration cost. But there are no surprise additional expenses, if there are additional books required, you will know exactly what you need up front.
  • Refund Policy - You can cancel after the first session of any live class we offer. Self-paced downloadable classes are non-refundable.
