FAQ
What’s the difference between live classes and self-paced classes?
Live Classes are just that – live. They are conducted via conference calls and students will have the ability to ask questions at the end of the classes. Some Live Classes are also conducted via a web conference room. You will be given clear instructions on how to access these conference rooms when they are used.
Self-Paced Classes are audio and video recorded classes for you to work through at your own pace. You won’t have access to the instructors, but will be able to take any class we have ever offered at any time.
What’s the difference between teleclasses and web-based classes?
Teleclasses are conducted via phone and/or email.
Web Based Classes are conducted via a web conference room. Features include a chat area for questions, visual presentations, and streaming audio. You will have to download and install a small piece of software in order to view the class and your computer must be audio-enabled and have speakers in order to hear the class. A high-speed internet connection is suggested, but not required.
Who teaches these classes?
Professionals who have first-hand experience with the material they teach. Most, if not all of them, are actively working in the fields they are teaching in. So our facilitators know the current trends, technologies, and market factors influencing their field today.
Most of our facilitators also write for Sparkplugging.com. Feel free to read their credentials on our faculty page or get to know them better through their articles on their blogs!
What kind of equipment do I need to be able to take the classes?
You will need a computer with an internet connection to access our classes and download our self-paced classes.
For live classes you will also need a telephone line. If you are concerned about long-distance charges, we recommend using a service like Vonage that offers very low-cost flat-rate phone service.
What is your refund policy?
Students can withdraw from any of our live classes up until 48 hours after the first session. Here is our Refund Request contact form.
Can’t I just buy a subscription and have access to all of your classes?
In the near future, this will be an option. We’re working on it!
Can I write off the expense of these courses on my taxes?
Yes, you can. You can also write off the expenses of any books or other course materials you purchase for our classes.
Are you an accredited university?
No, not at this time. We sure would like to be though. Someday!
Do you have an affiliate program?
